SHE – winner at Sunny side of the doc
SHE is the winner for Best Global Issues Pitch at Sunny Side of the
Doc 2022.
Jury’s word
“The jury thinks the way SHE unveils timely themes such as women’s rights, equal pay, economical migration, western responsibility and patriarchal systems is essential.
We acknowledge the quality of the development work undertaken and the access gained in this process. SHE gives a fresh look on the topic with creative use of cinematography and with the experimental staging of work in the factory. We will be interested in seeing how the story develops. We hope to see that the story will be told with the protagonists, rather than just about them. We are also interested in learning about Samsung’s point of view. The jury wishes the team all the best and we look forward to seeing the final film.”

We got other 2 prizes:
– Award Docs Up Fund and the Impactsocialclub
“The jury was very much impressed by the powerful visual quality of the trailer. The director has managed to create a relationship with his characters that gives them freedom and a secure place to speak out. We believe the film will have a real resonance. We will be happy to share ideas and skills in order to give it a strong and impactful life.”
– Movies that Matter Award:
“All projects within the Global Issues pitching session are totally relevant to the society we live in today. Movies that matter awards a project that sheds light on a human rights situation of women where the whole world should be reminded of. We all use our mobile phones constantly and are often unaware of how and by who they are made. The access to the women in the factories, constructing our mobile, are living under horrible conditions. The impact this project can generate, is very important. For that reason movies that matter awards SHE, and is honored to welcome the filmmaker at the end of March in The Hague!”
We are really happy and grateful for those important supports! These are important and honorable rewards, they will help us to keep us strong, to face a difficult and sometimes dangerous path.
A path of struggle for the rights women workers, and for the rights of workers all over the world. For a world free from the exploitation of capital and from patriarchy.
….we’ve just started!
