Ethnographic Filmmaking II Edition – That’s a wrap!
Over the course of July and August, with the valuable guidance of our trainers the work team of the 2nd Edition of “Ethnographic Filmmaking. Training and Memory” wrapped up the filming for the teaser of the documentary project that will be presented as the final product of the course.
The working plan was outlined together with Giacomo Lamborizio, trainer in pre-production, with whose help the work units that dialogued during the production phase were drawn up, from the set departments to the writing group via the organizers.
The students of the course, during the most intense days of filming, were accompanied on the field by trainers Parsifal Reparato and Lorenzo Casadio, who directed the operations team in set dynamics and gave guidance in coordinating departments.
Every meeting on the field is a good opportunity to remember the importance of relationships: the most valuable tool gaining self-awareness and knowledge, in the service of stories that urgently need to be told.
We are proud of the relationships that our work team is building in the field and with the field: they represent the greatest baggage that each and every one of them will carry with them all along the way.
All this has been possible thanks to the enthusiasm with which the protagonists and the territory have immediately welcomed the project, which our girls and boys are working on with tenacity.
We are thankful to the Afghan community in Rome for the participation and involvement shown, enriching the path of willing and determined young people every day.
